“I Am Doctor Doom!”

Doctor Doom dominates this 2000 issue, rendered in full armored menace by Salvador Larroca and Art Thibert as he holds a glittering crown aloft — looking every inch the conquering monarch. Sue Storm kneels at his feet in her FF uniform while the Thing looms behind him, and the Human Torch's fiery form rounds out the team in the background, the whole composition framed by a snarling stone lion that sets a suitably ominous Latverian mood. With Chris Claremont scripting a story titled "I Am Doctor Doom!", this issue makes no secret of who's calling the shots.
