In "With My Hammer in Hand...! [Part 2]," Thor returns to Earth after repairing his hammer and restoring the Norn Stones to Odin, only to find that Don Blake’s surgery has healed and Jane Foster has vanished. Seeking help, he turns to the Avengers, but Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have already departed, and Hawkeye’s impatience pushes Thor to walk away. Meanwhile, Loki—bound to Ularic the Warlock—has used dark magic to summon Thor’s ancient enemy, the Absorbing Man, from beyond the stars, setting a dangerous new threat in motion.

In "Umar Strikes! [Part 2]," the sorceress Umar, freed from her long imprisonment, learns of her brother Dormammu’s defeat at the hands of Dr. Strange—though she still harbors a bitter loyalty to her fallen kin.
