The finale of DC's six-issue comedy series arrives with a cover that says it all: a smitten, goofy fanboy — wearing a backwards cap, oversized glasses, and a Wonder Woman T-shirt — sits beside the real Wonder Woman herself, complete with her golden lasso and star-spangled costume, as the tagline cheekily declares "There's only ONE woman for…" The delightful contrast between Sergio Aragonés' cartoony protagonist and Brian Bolland's elegantly rendered Amazon perfectly captures the series' humor. Written by Mark Evanier with art contributions from an impressive roster including Steve Rude, Phil Jimenez, Dan Spiegle, and Mike Grell, this August 1999 send-off is a charming celebration of comics fandom.
