The cover of this May 1999 issue cheerfully announces that the JLA faces its biggest challenge yet — and the subtitle "(Not Their Finest Hour!)" says it all. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and several more Justice Leaguers crowd the image, all looking thoroughly unamused, while the hapless Fanboy himself wedges into the center with a defiant "Wanna make somethin' of it?" Cover pencils by Sergio Aragonés and Kevin Maguire, inked by Aragonés and Marlo Alquiza, bring a wonderfully expressive energy to the ensemble. With Mark Evanier writing and Aragonés contributing throughout, this miniseries remains one of DC's more playful and self-aware comedic efforts of the era.
