After knowing Peter only two weeks, he asks Annette to marry him. Annette's father objects to her marrying someone she has know for such a short time, but does allow her to travel to Rhodesia for her holiday to stay with Peter and his sister on their tobacco farm. What neither girl knows is that Peter is involved in diamond smuggling to augment his income after having a disappointing crop.
