Written by Marjorie Bassett and J. Heale, with art and inks by Frejo, the story unfolds in quiet dread as old secrets stir beneath the surface of a family’s grief. The haunting cover by Nino Caroselli captures the mood perfectly: a lone figure in black, glimpsed through a foggy window, watching from the edge of the moor.

Sheila accepts a position as governess to a difficult boy in a house on the Yorkshire coast, miles away from anything. The boy keeps seeing a woman dressed in black that no one else has seen. Everyone assumes it is a result of the trauma he suffered when he was found at the bottom of the stairs with his dead mother. Sheila learns that some say it wasn't an accident, but that she had been pushed down the stairs.
