History

The original Japanese serialization of Fake Fact Lips began in 2020 in Qpa, a digital BL manga platform published by Takeshobo, and concluded as a completed one-volume work of seven chapters. A sequel series, Fake Fact Lips BREAK, followed in 2022, also from Takeshobo. Seven Seas Entertainment announced the English-language license acquisition in September 2024, simultaneously securing both the original title and its sequel; the English edition was released on March 11, 2025, translated by Nomnom Namako with adaptation by Casper Kazor and lettering by Jaewon Ha, as part of Seven Seas' dedicated BL Label imprint.
