Fairlady's fourth issue from Image delivers a cover that's equal parts eerie and compelling — our determined heroine sits reading an open book, seemingly unfazed while a towering, red-hooded figure studded with unblinking eyes looms directly behind her, all of it framed by a writhing mass of purple tentacles. Claudia Balboni's linework gives the scene a wonderfully unsettling depth, with Marissa Louise's rich violet palette making the supernatural threat feel both beautiful and genuinely threatening.
