Fade to Black #4

Daniele Serra's cover art for Fade to Black #4 sets an unmistakably grim tone — a bloodied, long-haired man grimaces under a pale, glaring moon, his white shirt stained and his expression somewhere between defiance and desperation. The tagline "No Chance to Survive" leaves little room for optimism, and Serra's raw, painterly style gives the whole image a bruised, visceral weight. Jeff Mariotte's Image series continues to look like exactly the kind of unflinching thriller that earns its darkness.
