Façades #11

Part of Éditions Polystyrène's charming Collection Façades series, this eleventh installment carries the evocative title Hyakkī Yakō — a nod to Japanese folklore's legendary nocturnal parade of demons. The muted violet cover, rendered in warm gold tones by Karensac, presents a compact traditional building crowned with curved eaves and a pair of curved horns, its facade marked by three circular window-like openings that lend it an eerily watchful quality. It's a quietly unsettling and beautifully restrained piece of 2019 small-press comics publishing.
