Album 129 in Hec Leemans' long-running Belgian comic series brings "Het Hoofd van Titus," and the orange-backed cover sets a wonderfully chaotic tone. A heavyset, grinning fellow clutches a marble bust while a euro-sign thought bubble floats above his head, flanked by two shadowy figures clearly up to no good and a startled character sent flying in the background. It's a cheerful snapshot of the mischief and comedy that has kept F.C. De Kampioenen a beloved fixture of Flemish comics culture, published here in 2024 by Standaard Uitgeverij in partnership with VRT.
