Poopdeck Pappy shows up with two influential figures from Popeye's childhood - Whaler Joe and Ms. Tuggy. Eugene the Jeep, under a magic spell that enables him to speak, explains that Popeye can derive such great strength and abilities from spinach by a unique ability to warp reality. General Stalwart appears and attacks Popeye and tastes some of Popeye's reality warping energy, turning it against him.
