Excalibur kronieken #3

Alain Brion's painted cover for this 2015 Dutch-language volume sets a brooding, mythic tone — a weathered, battle-scarred warrior dominates the foreground while a younger, red-haired figure peers out from behind him, the legendary sword Excalibur rising between them like a silent arbiter of fate. The title Excalibur Kronieken promises chronicles steeped in Arthurian legend, and with chapter "Luchar" (meaning "to fight" in Galician/Portuguese), the stage is clearly set for conflict. Brion's richly detailed, painterly artwork makes this third installment a compelling addition to the series.
