“Forging the Sword 1 of 4: Paint it Black”

"Forging the Sword 1 of 4: Paint it Black" kicks off a bold new chapter for Excalibur, with Chris Claremont and Aaron Lopresti leading a story set in the ruined aftermath of Genosha. Xavier arrives in the quarantined Hammer Bay, where he encounters the ghost-summoning mutant Wicked and faces off against Unus—aided by the mysterious Freakshow, whose transformation into a giant monster leaves even the untouchable Unus vulnerable. Andy Park’s striking cover captures the tension of this fractured world, as the remnants of a fallen nation face an uncertain future.
