Emma et Capucine #3

The third volume of Emma et Capucine arrives in 2018 with a subtitle — "Quand les paillettes disparaissent" ("When the Glitter Fades") — that hints at something more bittersweet beneath the glamour. Lena Sayaphoum's cover captures a young dancer mid-movement, her flowing skirt and graceful posture bathed in soft, warm light, conveying both elegance and quiet emotion. Jérôme Hamon and Sayaphoum together bring a tender, beautifully rendered story to this Dargaud series that clearly has a lot of heart.
