Emissary #1

Jim Valentino and Jason Rand launch this Image/Shadowline series with a cover by Juan Ferreyra that immediately establishes a sense of cosmic scale — a powerfully built, bald figure in a dark and red suit gazes down at a gleaming Earth cradled in his outstretched, red-gloved hand. The image is clean and quietly arresting, positioning this being as something far larger than humanity yet intimately connected to it. If the title "Revelations 1:4" is any hint, Emissary #1 looks to be a thoughtful 2006 sci-fi series with something genuinely meaningful to say.
