“Death At Savings of 30% or More!”

In "Death At Savings of 30% or More!", Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, trades her usual haunted mansion for a high-stakes corporate gig when she investigates poor TV reception at Nuttinzon Communications headquarters. Sent into space to fix a malfunctioning satellite, she faces off against the enigmatic James Earl Gray in a showdown that sends the signal source tumbling into oblivion. Back on Earth, her reception is flawless—but the silence of a screen with nothing worth watching might be the real horror. Written by Frank Strom and illustrated by Ronn Sutton, with inks by Bill Anderson and letters by Thom Zahler, this issue blends Elvira’s signature wit with a surreal, satirical twist on media obsession, all wrapped in a cover by Ronn Sutton.
