Elmira Pioneers Present The Perfect Game #[nn]

Jul 2016 · Printed Heroes Publishing · 0.00 FREE

In this free 2016 release from Printed Heroes Publishing, rookie pitcher Justin takes the mound for his first game at Pioneers Field, leading his team to a dramatic ninth-inning victory with the help of catcher Chris. As the celebration unfolds, the team's winning streak becomes a strange ritual—Chris refuses to wash his famously stinky uniform, and even after the game, his cap proves too much for a young fan to accept. Written by Jared Aiosa and illustrated by Chris Bell, Doug Laura, Andrew Wales, and Geoff Munn, with inks by the same team, the story captures a quirky, heartfelt moment in baseball lore, all framed by a cover by Daniel P. Morris.

Justin is pitching his first game at Pioneers Field. Thanks to him and catcher Chris, the Pioneers win it in the ninth. The players and the coach are complaining about Chris's smelly uniform, but he won't wash it as long as their winning streak continues. After the game he offers his cap to an excited fan, but even the small boy doesn't want it.
