Three striking figures dominate this beautifully rendered cover for "Ylanoon" — a towering, fur-cloaked warrior bearing a great axe stands behind two blue-skinned elven women, one clad in red with a drawn sword and the other armored in gleaming silver-gold, both radiating quiet intensity. The wintry landscape of standing stones and bare branches frames the trio with an almost mythic gravitas, brought to life through Kyko Duarte's impressively detailed linework. Writer Jean-Luc Istin and his collaborators continue building the world of Elfen with this thirty-first chapter, and the cover alone promises the blend of high fantasy atmosphere and compelling characters the series does so well.
