Elfen #29

Issue 29 of Daedalus's long-running Elfen series brings "Lea'saa, de rode elf" — a title that places a striking crimson-skinned elf warrior front and center, spear in hand and adorned with elaborate tribal accessories. Flanking her on the cover by Giovanni Lorusso are a heavily-built green-skinned warrior looming behind her and a smaller armored companion crouched at her feet, the trio posed against a waterside village of thatched dwellings that hints at a richly built fantasy world. Writers Jean-Luc Istin and Dieter Van Tilburgh continue this Belgian fantasy saga in 2023 with colorist Nanjan J.'s vivid palette lending the cover a warm, almost mythic glow.
