Stéphane Bileau's cover linework, brought to life by Anna Merli's rich, warm colors, gives this thirteenth volume of Elfen a painterly grandeur that suits the saga's epic fantasy tone perfectly. Olivier Peru's ongoing series continues here with "Gelukzalig de dode strijder," and this 2017 Daedalus edition is a fine addition to the shelf of any fan of beautifully crafted European fantasy comics.
