El Niño #7
The seventh volume of Perrissin and Pavlovic's El Niño series takes readers to the rugged passes of the Hindu Kush, as suggested by the snow-capped mountain peaks looming behind the cover's central figure — a young woman in a dark headscarf whose intense, searching gaze dominates the composition. The painterly cover art conveys both fragility and quiet resolve, setting a tone of danger and determination in equal measure. Published in 2009 by Les Humanoïdes Associés, this installment looks to be one of the series' most atmospherically compelling entries yet.
