El Caballo Del Diablo #331

Oct 1975 · Ediciones Latinoamericanas · 2.00 MXP
“Los Bandidos del Amor”

In "Los Bandidos del Amor," three bandits wreak havoc in San Bartolome, escalating from a saloon brawl to a brutal assault on Don Agapito's family. Pursued by soldiers and cornered by the supernatural, the last survivor flees on the Devil's Horse only to encounter a mysterious woman in a cemetery—revealed to be Mistress Death. The story, written and illustrated by Jesus Tovar Saucedo, unfolds with a grim, folkloric intensity, showcasing his distinctive art across both interior and cover. This 1975 issue, a 2.00 MXP comic from Ediciones Latinoamericanas, stands as a striking example of the series' dark, mythic tone.

Three bandits make trouble in a San Bartolome saloon. Next, they ride to a ranch where they sexually assault Don Agapito's wife and two daughters. Two bandits are killed by the soldiers pursuing them, but the third slips away until the Devil's Horse finds him. The bandit rides the black Horse to a cemetery where he meets a beautiful woman with whom he spends the night. The woman is revealed to be to be Mistress Death, so the bandit flees on the Devil's Horse. The Horse kills the bandit by crashing him into a statue of the town's saint. The bandit is cursed to haunt the cemetery with Death.
