In 1820, Don Diego returns to his homeland after years in Spain, summoned by his father amid the oppressive rule of the new Commandante. To protect himself and gather intelligence, he adopts the guise of a fox, while his loyal servant pretends to be deaf and dumb. Learning of the injustices spreading through the pueblo, Don Diego resolves to take secret action—becoming Zorro, the Fox, to stand against tyranny. His first mission: free a wrongfully imprisoned landowner.
