Eclipso #19
In "Le défi de la Masse," Namor's assault on an Eskimo village sets off a chain of events that awakens Captain America from decades of suspended animation, buried beneath the ice. With the Avengers reunited and their team suddenly turned to stone by an alien presence, Cap and Rick Jones must track down the mysterious being who offers to restore them—on one condition: help recover his shattered spaceship. The mission leads to a confrontation with Namor and his forces, testing the Avengers' unity as they fight to protect both Earth and an alien relic. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life by Jack Kirby’s dynamic art and George Roussos’s inks, this 1972 issue delivers a classic clash of ancient secrets and cosmic stakes.

Namor attacks a group of Eskimos and throws their idol into the sea. When the ice melts, the figure trapped within turns out to be Captain America, in suspended animation since the end of World War II. The Avengers rescue Cap and return to New York. An alien figure turns our heroes to stone. When Cap and Rick Jones track him down, the alien agrees to restore the Avengers if they agree to help him recover his broken space ship in return. When doing so, the Avengers are attacked by Namor and his people. The restored spaceship ultimately drives off Namor and his men.
