# The Eagle #2 (September 1959) This issue contains over 40 pages of stories featuring The Eagle and his sidekick Buddy. In one adventure, Captain Powers and Buddy are assigned to accompany a good-will ambassador to Brazil, where they intercept a Nazi plot to drop deadly eggs and must stop the enemy before the attack succeeds. A separate story by Lester Kaye follows The Eagle and Buddy as they respond to a distress call from a Navy submarine (PX-1) that has sunk off New England, racing back to America to help locate the stricken vessel and its crew. The issue also includes a new feature called "The Spider Queen."
