Dwergen #3
The third chapter of this Dutch-language fantasy series brings "Aral van de tempel" to life with a commanding cover by Paolo Deplano — a stout, battle-worn dwarf dominates the foreground, thrusting a mysterious cube-shaped artifact toward the viewer while gripping a heavy iron staff, clad in leather and chainmail against the backdrop of an ornately carved underground temple. Deep in the shadowy cavern behind him, tiny figures traverse a precarious ledge, hinting at the grand scale of this subterranean world. With Nicolas Jarry scripting and Digikore Studios bringing rich, atmospheric color to Deplano's detailed linework, this 2016 volume looks like a thoroughly satisfying entry in the series for fans of European fantasy comics.
