Durango Kid #1

The Durango Kid uncovers a scheme by a fake banker named Jagger who has been stealing from townspeople and hiding the money at his ranch. After exposing the fraud and defeating Jagger's gang in a saloon brawl, the Durango Kid agrees to take the sheriff's job to clean up the lawless town. When a gang of ex-Confederate rough-necks led by Red Legger causes trouble and kidnaps a woman named Lucy, the Durango Kid pursues them relentlessly across the wilderness, eventually confronting Legger and surviving an encounter with a bear to continue his pursuit for vengeance.
