"The Durango Kid," illustrated by Fred Guardinneer, follows the masked hero as he confronts criminals and a woman named Debbie in a circus setting, where he must prove his heroic abilities through trick-shot marksmanship. "Dan Brand and Tipi" is a Revolutionary War-era tale set on April 18, 1775, depicting the outbreak of conflict at Concord as Dan Brand and his companion Tipi witness the Redcoats firing on American patriots, with Brand reflecting on his father's brave legacy as a sheriff during the tension between Royalists and those supporting independence.
