The fourth chapter of Durandal's "Het Mark Bretagne" arc arrives with a cover that immediately commands attention: a lone armored warrior in a crimson-lined cape stands sword in hand, dwarfed by an enormous, fire-breathing dragon looming overhead in the shadowy darkness. John MacCambridge's painted artwork — pencils, inks, and colors all his own — renders both the knight's defiant stance and the beast's terrifying scale with striking intensity. If this 2013 Belgian release is any indication, the series continues to deliver high fantasy at its most atmospheric.
