Dungeons & Dragons Legends of Baldur's Gate #3
IDW's Legends of Baldur's Gate #3 from 2014 puts a pointed-eared, cape-clad warrior front and center, sword raised with quiet confidence as he fixes the viewer with a steady, calculating gaze — the kind of look that suggests trouble is already behind him and more is on the way. The "Tyranny of Dragons" banner ties this Forgotten Realms adventure to the wider D&D world, while writer Jim Zub and artist Max Dunbar continue the series with colorist Jean-Paul Bove's rich, painterly tones bringing the Sword Coast to life inside. Sarah Stone's cover art strikes a sharp balance between elegance and edge, making this issue a compelling stop in one of 2014's most enjoyable D&D comics adaptations.
