Dungeons & Dragons: Evil at Baldur's Gate #5

The cover of this 2018 IDW issue is an absolute delight — a parchment-toned sheet filled with a charming character-sheet–style grid of a plump hamster in dozens of expressive poses: munching an apple, batting at a butterfly, napping with a snore bubble, squaring off with ants, and generally being the most charismatic furball in the Forgotten Realms. It's the perfect visual tease for "Hamster Quest," the fifth chapter of Jim Zub's Evil at Baldur's Gate arc, with interior art by Francesco Mortarino and colors by Jordi Escuin. Max Dunbar's cover art strikes a wonderfully playful tone that should put a grin on any D&D fan's face before they even crack the spine.
