Dungeons & Dragons #14

IDW's Dungeons & Dragons #14 puts a battle-hardened dwarf warrior front and center, his braided red beard and heavy plate armor filling the frame as he charges forward with a weapon raised — and every inch of the background is consumed by a writhing mass of sharp-toothed, many-eyed creatures pressing in from all sides. It's the kind of cover, rendered by Tyler Walpole, that makes you feel the claustrophobic dread of being completely surrounded with nowhere to run. John Rogers and Andrea Di Vito continue their run on one of IDW's most adventurous titles, and this issue looks like it puts the dwarf's resolve to an especially grim test.
