Hermann's moody artwork sets an unsettling tone on this fifth volume of Duke from Le Lombard — a barefoot young man clutches a revolver while seated in a wicker chair, his tense expression contrasting with the imposing, silver-bearded figure looming silently behind him. The Dutch title "Je bent een pistolero" ("You are a gunslinger") hangs over the scene with quiet menace, perfectly capturing the fraught dynamic between these two figures. Written by Yves H. with art and covers by Hermann, this 2021 entry in the series delivers the kind of atmospheric Western storytelling the duo does so well.
