Drifter #3

Drifter continues its unsettling sci-fi noir with issue three, "Sinking" — a title that feels entirely appropriate given Nic Klein's cover image of a pale, clawed creature crouched at the center of what appears to be a radar or sonar display, its outstretched talons rendered with an eerie, almost biological detail against the deep blue-black background. The concentric rings of the scanner overlay give the whole image a cold, technological dread, as though something monstrous has just shown up on a readout far from anywhere safe. Ivan Brandon and Klein's collaboration continues to build a world where the darkness between the stars seems very much alive.
