“Act 4: A Certain Emotional Response”

In "Act 4: A Certain Emotional Response," Ariel navigates a haunting dreamscape where familiar moments twist into something unsettling—her house ablaze, a sleepover offer from Kiley, and an intimate moment with Perry that takes a sudden, chilling turn. Written by Randy Queen and illustrated by Ron Adrian, with inks by Sarah Oates, colors by Brett Evans, and letters by Steve Dutro, this issue blends intimacy and dread in a surreal, emotionally charged descent. The cover, penciled by Queen and inked by Oates, captures the tension with quiet precision.

Still in a dreamscape, Ariel watches as her house burns down and Kiley offers to let her sleep over. As she is getting ready for bed, Perry comes into her room and they begin to get intimate. Perry turns out, however, to be Kid Wicked in disguise. As Ariel tries to get away from him, she runs into Kiley who has secretly been her enemy all along.
