In "Kolossen lever!", the Hulk crashes a Hollywood gala in Los Angeles, mistaken for an attack. When Bob O'Bryan—just married to Diane Cummings—transfers his mind into the Living Colossus to stop him, he’s quickly overpowered by the scheming Dr. Vault, who hijacks the statue’s form. As the Colossus fights the Hulk, the strain of Dr. Vault’s deteriorating condition proves fatal. In the aftermath, Bob and Diane watch the Hulk vanish into the distance.
