Harvey Comics' "America's Laugh-a-Second Family" is in fine form in this June 1952 entry, with Buford Tune's cover capturing pure domestic chaos: Horace is being dragged horizontal across the lawn by a wildly overpowered lawnmower — complete with a "BANG! PUTT! PUTT!" engine and a scrambling spotted dog — while Dotty leans out from the porch with the deadpan verdict, "I told Horace that speed boat motor wouldn't work on the mower!" Featuring Li'l Taffy and the rest of the gang, this ten-cent slice of suburban slapstick is exactly the cheerful, laugh-out-loud fun Harvey Comics promised on every cover.
