Dotty Dripple Comics #20
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHarvey Comics' "America's Laugh-a-Second Family" is in top form in this October 1951 entry, with Buford Tune delivering a cover gag that practically writes itself: Dad has hit the bottom of the staircase bannister in a spectacular, splashy wipeout, while Dotty and young Li'l Taffy look on — the little girl's speech bubble deadpanning, "This should stop your father from sliding down the bannister!" The family dog adds to the gleeful chaos at the foot of the stairs, and tiny vignettes of the cast frolic around the bold red title lettering above. At just a dime, this is domestic comedy at its most cheerfully unhinged.
