Dotty Comics #39

This is an anthology romance comic featuring multiple stories. "Week-End Romance!" follows Joan, who tells her friend about her quiet weekend with her boyfriend Jeffrey until she discovers he has a new car and secretly takes her on a surprise boat ride, making her realize she was stuck in a boring routine. "Temporarily Yours!" shows Dotty confiding in her friend Polly that she had to refuse a snobbish group's invitation to their exclusive "Hillcrest" club gathering; later, when a mysterious limousine arrives to pick her up for the same event, Dotty's boyfriend reveals the car belongs to him and he's taking her instead. A third story, "Love Is a Gamble!" depicts a man flirting with a woman at a social club who discovers an illicit gambling room in the back, leading to complications when his girlfriend becomes aware of his activities at the venue.
