A brooding, painterly tension defines the cover of this 1996 Egmont Ehapa release — a bloodstained young man in a tank top strides forward gripping a gun, while behind him a blurred, ghostly face looms through what appears to be cracked glass, casting an unsettling psychological shadow over the scene. Reinhard Kleist's cover art — rendered with loose, expressive brushwork — gives the whole image a noir atmosphere that feels as much like fine art as genre storytelling. Written by Roland Hüve and brought to life entirely by Kleist, Dorian announces itself as a distinctly European take on crime and consequence.
