Doorway to Nightmare #2

DC's supernatural anthology series conjures something genuinely unsettling with this April 1978 issue, its cover by Michael Wm. Kaluta presenting a dark-haired woman in flowing magenta robes raising one hand commandingly while swarms of small orange demons writhe and tumble through the air around her. Dominating the foreground is a large tarot card — "The Devil" — depicting a horned, goat-legged figure enthroned beneath a pentagram, its imagery both eerie and strangely compelling.
