Doom Metal Kit #2 brings the German indie anthology "Turm Teil 2" to life with a cover that's genuinely hard to look away from — a massive horned demon with glowing orange eyes clutches a tiny guitar-playing figure in its enormous hand, while a pair of watchful human eyes peer out from the shadowed background amid licks of flame. Michael Liberatore's linework and Hannes Kiengraber's smoldering color palette give the whole image a hellish warmth that feels right at home in the heavy metal aesthetic the series wears proudly.
