As soon as he leaves, an unexpected rival emerges through the fortress’s battlements—prompting the Guardian to send Herbert and Marvin on a mysterious investigation. Written by Joann Sfar and Lewis Trondheim, and brought to life with bold, expressive art by Manu Larcenet (who also handled inks and lettering), the cover by Larcenet captures the story’s offbeat charm.
