Donald Duck & Co #5/1957
In "Langbein prøver skiene," Donald Duck and the members of Friluftsklubben set out to find the year’s first snowfall—only to get stranded on Kjegletoppen during the worst storm in years, trapped with Frøken Gullhår. When the boys’ playful jetmotor experiment unexpectedly comes to their rescue, the adventure takes a turn neither the club nor the snowbound duo could have predicted. Written by Carl Barks and Helene C. Kløvstad, with art and inks by Carl Barks, and featuring a cover by Barks, this 1957 Norsk edition captures classic Disney chaos with a Nordic twist.
Langbein tries out the new skis Mikke gave him for his birthday, only to find himself in a wild, wobbly descent down the slope. What starts as a clumsy attempt at winter sport quickly turns into an unexpected lesson in balance—literally.
When Donald joins the Friluftsklubben in search of the year’s first bluebell, a sudden storm strands him and Miss Gullhår atop Kjegletoppen. With no way off the peak, the boys’ playful experiments with jet engines unexpectedly become their only hope for rescue.
