Donald Duck & Co #44/1995
"Slitsom dyretransport" sees Donald Duck celebrating Dolly’s birthday with a crocodile-skin purse made of real plastic—much to her dismay. When Dolly calls him out for lacking respect, Donald sets out to win her approval by using the boys’ new pet, the curious creature Glefs, to track down a genuine crocodile hide. The journey takes an unexpected turn when Dolly learns just how endangered crocodiles truly are. Written by Henning Hagerup and illustrated by Volker Reiche, this 1995 issue from Hjemmet/Egmont features a heartfelt twist on a classic holiday gag, with Reiche’s expressive art bringing both humor and quiet urgency to the tale.
