Donald Duck & Co #37/1991
In "Kunstelskeren," Donald Duck takes a stand to save a cherished masterpiece by Van Duck, Andeby’s most celebrated artist, when the Andeby Art Association plans to sell it to fund building repairs. With the town’s future hanging in the balance, Donald barricades himself in the town hall’s bell tower, demanding every resident pay 100 kroner to keep the painting in Andeby. Written by Paul Halas, Kym Hempson-Simpson, and Harald Dyrkorn, and illustrated by Vicar with inks by the same, this 1991 Egmont release captures the classic charm of Donald’s stubborn idealism. The cover, by the Tello-Team, perfectly captures the comic’s spirited tone.
