Donald Duck & Co #17/1994
"Store barn, store gleder" marks a poignant return for the ever-traveling Scrooge McDuck, written by Don Rosa and Harald Dyrkorn with art and inks by Don Rosa. After twenty-seven years abroad building his fortune, Scrooge finally comes home to a festive welcome—only to find his family's warmth met with cold indifference. The story captures a moment of quiet heartbreak, as the world's richest man sits alone in his money bin, realizing the cost of his lifelong pursuit.
In "Store barn, store gleder," Donald and the boys go head-to-head in a backyard gardening showdown, each striving to grow the biggest plant. With the help of Petter’s mysterious Spiresevje, Donald tricks them into believing they’ve cultivated a plant that eats people—though just how far the prank will go remains to be seen.
In "Siste skrik," B-Gjengen escapes from Andeby Fengsel and hides in a makeshift studio, where they're unexpectedly thrust into the Andebypolitiets Moteshow. Disguised as mannequins in prison uniforms, they perform the final, dramatic "siste skrik" — a moment of tense, silent showmanship that could expose them at any second.
In "Skrue McDucks liv del 11: Verdens rikeste mann," Skrue returns after twenty-seven years of globe-trotting ambition, only to find his family has prepared a welcome home—yet his wealth has changed him in ways no fortune could fix. The reunion cracks under the weight of his cold demeanor, leaving him isolated in a mansion of money, surrounded by the silence of those he once called kin.
