Donald Duck & Co #13/1963
In "En plass i stolen," Donald Duck takes on a new role as fourth assistant night watchman at the Andeby Natural Science Museum, where he stumbles upon mysterious square stones that turn out to be eggs. When an expedition to Peru falls ill, it's Donald and the boys who step in to uncover more square eggs, leading them to the hidden, square-shaped city of Gufseplassen in the Andes—where everything is geometric and speaking Nynorsk is the norm, and roundness is considered the ultimate crime. Written by Carl Barks and Vivi Aagaard, with art and inks by Carl Barks, and a cover by Tony Strobl, this 1963 Norwegian edition (1,00 NOK) blends whimsy and mystery in a delightfully odd adventure.
