Donald Duck & Co #12/1954
In "Farlig skitur," Donald Duck finds himself in a festive pickle—having forgotten to buy a turkey for Christmas and drained his last coin. Desperate, he hatches a scheme to trick Scrooge into treating him to a lavish dinner at Grand Restaurant by disguising himself as a mysterious oil magnate. With Carl Barks handling both writing and art, and Helene C. Kløvstad co-writing, this 1954 Norwegian release captures the classic charm of Duckburg mischief, all drawn in Barks’ unmistakable style. The cover, also by Barks, perfectly captures the moment’s high-stakes humor.
